Seven Month Update

I woke up today determined to let you know about PDG at seven months (yeah, yeah, a week late, whatever)

Little man finally hit a six month growth spurt shortly after turning six months.  While he won't get weighed again for a while, he's back to showing off some of his chunker qualities and gets a little buddha-belly after any and every meal.

He loves solid food.  I mean LOVES it.  With perhaps one exception of green beans.  By his seven month birthday he had moved his way up to three of the 4oz baby food packs a day, with cereal mixed in for breakfast and lunch.

He's decided he's not into his little mesh pacifier deal now that he can eat real food.  And thankfully we've only had a couple of the quick gagging moments as he's tried out bits of finger foods like toast or cornbread

PDG hasn't quite mastered crawling.  He did learn this month to get up on all fours and rock back and forth, but then he usually faceplants or just lowers himself back down.  When super motivated, he will do a little army scoot.  J-Man and I are equal parts excited and nervous for when this turns into the real deal.

PDG also returned to fully sleeping through the night again.  We almost always have to wake him at 5:30 for a quick eat-and-dress before our commute to Woodbridge.  On weekends we tend to get one of the two days where he'll sleep in until 7am.  (Did I just call 7am sleeping in?!)

See those little white spots in PDG's mouth?  Yep, both are teeth.  Look at this kid, growing up.  He thankfully hasn't done any real hard bites yet, though a couple nibble attempts have gotten his mama a little nervous.

So generally PDG is a pretty happy baby these days.  Thanks, kid, for starting to make up for a rough beginning.  Let me go knock on some wood now before everything I just said flips upside down.
