10 months old!

I might be a week late, but here goes.  My little PDG is now 10 months old. (Twenty-one pounds with clothes on.)

It was tough trying to get a photo for this month with, you know, the whole ear infection/cold/sleepy-eyes situation going on.  Here was the best I could do.

As for updates, he continues being our crazy good eater.  His new thing is eating crackers.  Or anything else that he can hold full pieces of like bread or baby cookies (which are actually pretty good).

He's upgraded to a bigger car seat and we've adjusted the height on his jumparoo and walker.  Though we only use them for 10 minutes or so at a time, just long enough to unload the dishwasher or sweep up the hallway, he still loves those toys.

He now almost exclusively eats with his hands (non-purees) for dinner but sticks with the spoon-fed purees and cereal for lunch and breakfast at daycare.  Miss S has suggested we start changing that up this month though.  Sweet potatoes are a common choice, along with mixed veggies, rolls, rice, and pretty much anything we're eating.

Bath time is a blast.  Except, well, PDG discovered our drain plug.  He loops his pointer finger in the ring, pulls up, and laughs as he listens to the water start to swoosh down the drain.  No rubber ducky is better than that.

On that note, we're starting to say "no."  Of course, he only occasionally understands, and we know that purely saying no means nothing without some redirection and such, but his desire to push buttons on the cable box, reach for the TV, poke at outlet covers, and crawl into the dishwasher are just a few examples of reasons to start setting some limits.  Thankfully, he will often respond to the suggestion that we play with one of his many "PDG toys."

I asked J-Man what else happened this month that's noteworthy, but we were kinda stumped.  More cruising, more teeth, more eating, more new toys, and more "where has time gone?" moments.
